Refund Policy

Booking Terms and Conditions

Allocation of places on the course will be under the discretion of Akila Academy.

All payments should be in GBP Sterling by Cheque, PayPal or Bank transfer.

Unless otherwise stated, 50% non refundable booking fee is to be paid on booking for short courses.

Payments of the remaining fees are to be made in full no later than 14 days prior to the course date. Late payments will be identified, and notice given of intention to withdraw learners from the course unless full payment is received.

Failure to attend any seminar will result in the loss of all payments already made.

If payment by instalments has been agreed with the Akila Academy Principal for full qualifications, please note that no course materials will be sent until second instalment has cleared, and no face to face training will be conducted until all payments have been made in full. Payment terms are detailed on the invoice and are strictly 7 days from date of invoice.

No refreshments will be provided during the course day, students are permitted to bring a bottle of water for their own consumption, lunch, dinner and accommodation are the responsibility of the student. Advice on accommodation may be given by Akila Academy but does not constitute a recommendation.

Unless otherwise stated or agreed, courses will start with registration on the first day at 9:15am for a 09:30am start and finish at 5:00pm. Please arrive in good time so that the course start time of 09:30 is not delayed.

All training materials are the copyright of Akila Academy and no part may be reproduced in any form, or used for teaching purposes, without express written permission from Akila Academy.

Akila Academy does not accept responsibility for changes or cancellation of courses due to circumstances beyond their control. Every effort will be made to contact participants well in advance and, if necessary, booking fees will be refunded in full.

Akila Academy will not be held responsible for any additional expenses incurred as a result of course cancellation.

In line with other training organisations, no responsibility will be accepted in the highly unlikely event of any detrimental effects (side effects) of the tuition.

Cancellation by delegates

To cancel your place on any of the courses organised by Akila Academy, written notice of cancellation must be given by email to: [email protected]

To receive a refund (minus the non-refundable booking fee) you must cancel at least 14 days prior to the start of the course.

Delegates cancelling less than 7 days before the course will not be entitled to a refund under any circumstances.

There will be no refunds for non-attendance on the course.

There will be no refunds if course materials have already been sent out.

Cancellation by Akila Academy

In the case of a course cancellation by Akila Academy, delegates will either be offered an alternative date, a credit note or a full refund.

Akila Academy shall assume no liability for events beyond its control.
